Ian Stuart

Ian is a former Googler (2003-2016) who now helps organizations develop through coaching and team development. After leaving Google, he established and led the People Development function at Coursera. While at Google, he managed teams, projects and learning programs globally and at Google scale, focusing on team effectiveness and leadership development.
Ian received his dual bachelor's degrees in psychology and communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his master's degree in communication from San Diego State University.
He's a car and whiskey enthusiast, though he never mixes the two. He lives in the Bay Area with two rambunctious and clever children, 6 and 8 years old, and a wife who's the most talented teacher he's ever met.
