Lana Harel

| COACH AND FACILITATOR

Lana Harel is a certified executive coach and facilitator who works with C-suite executives, their teams, and organizations to resolve blockages, strengthen performance, and fine-tune individual impact and team dynamics. She has developed a highly specialized methodology that combines strategic systems thinking, empathy, and leadership development to peel away the layers that can obscure the root causes of many of the issues we face at work or in our careers, and rebuild the personal and organizational foundations of performance and results.

With a long prior career in technology, Lana carries a special set of skills and experience that enable her to connect with and support professionals in technology and technical fields in particular. Earlier in her career, Lana worked as a product manager, software developer, and program manager. Lana held a number of roles at Google, then became Director of Organizational Learning and Development at Nevro, a medical device company.

Lana holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering from MIT. She credits her deep insight into people and their struggles to her international background and exposure to a wide variety of cultures and languages—her family had lived on 4 continents by the time she was 12 years old.

Lana lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, gardening, and cooking with her family on the weekends. When she’s not working, there’s a 75% chance she can be found in the oceans of New Zealand swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving.

Coaching Approach

  • I work with the whole person and consider their overall context. The client’s current goal or challenge is a focal point, and we use it to uncover patterns and blocks that are likely appearing in other places in the client’s life. Working deeply to ‘debug the operating system’ helps the client to not only breakthrough on the presenting issue, but to increase clarity and ease in other areas of their life as well.

  • My ultimate goal is to equip my client with the perspectives and tools that will support them in their lifelong growth and development.
